Is it possible to determine a person's character from their appearance?

Yes, today it is! It has long been no secret that our character is shaped not only by the experience we gain and the events we live through, but also by our DNA. From a person's facial features it is possible to determine which character traits are inborn, what their strengths and weaknesses are, how they will behave in stressful situations and much more.

Many studies around the world have examined the connection between a person's character traits and their outward appearance. Even intelligence services use methods of recognising character by phenotype (the set of external features) in their work.

Just as in the animal world there are predators with a characteristic lower jaw suited to tearing prey apart, and herbivores with a completely different jaw structure meant for nibbling grass and gnawing carrots, so among people there are different types with different external features that determine character. One person will be a real business shark from an early age and will push past everything that stands in the way, while another will just stand shyly on the sidelines and watch it all from afar. Of course, various skills and abilities can be learned over a lifetime, just as different character traits can be cultivated. But it is wonderful if we become aware of our strengths and weaknesses while still young, and so know what needs to be developed and what will come quite easily.
