A spell for women: to win men’s attention

You will need water. Afterwards you must wash your face and body with this water. The spell must be spoken over the water.

I, God’s servant (name), shall stand before God, crossing myself; I shall go out not through the door but through the window; outside it is neither light nor dark. I shall walk along yellow shores; by the shores a swift river runs. I shall wash myself, dry myself, cross myself three times three: Grant me, God, beauty, and stir loving hearts with longing. May I be more alluring than all my friends, sweeter and more desirable to young men; may all look upon me and gaze at me, long to embrace and kiss me, send suitors to my door, and call me to be their wife. Be, my words, strong and binding. A key to all my words, a lock upon all my words. Now, always, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

A ritual for men: to win women’s attention

To attract women’s attention, you must recite this special spell. For this ritual, however, you will need another person to help you. Sit down on a chair while your helper wafts smoke over you with a lit aspen besom and reads these words:

I smoke and I daze, I draw brides to God’s servant (name). Let great fame go forth about the bridegroom, God’s servant (name). May he be bright, noticeable, and worthy, good and rich, taken for a husband. In the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

To free yourself from jealousy

For this ritual you will need a candle. Burn half of the candle in church, and let the other half burn down at your home. When buying the candle, observe this order: hand over the money with your right hand, take the candle with your left. In church, hold the candle in your left hand; at home, in your right. Before putting out the candle, say these words:

As your candle, God’s servant (name), has burned away, So has your jealousy burned out. Amen.

To remove a love charm

Take plenty of food and read the words below over it, then give this food away near a church or at a cemetery.

In the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I enchant nine remembrances. The first remembrance — against bitter tears, The second remembrance — against empty dreams, The third remembrance, to breathe easily, The fourth remembrance, to drive away bitter thoughts, The fifth remembrance against burning desires, The sixth remembrance against heaviness of heart, The seventh remembrance for parting, The eighth remembrance for God’s forgiveness, The ninth remembrance for release from love. Whoever meddles in my affair, Him my angel shall remind of me: Take him by the hand, lead him to the holy icon, Set him down upon his knees, And make him pray for my health. As I have spoken, as I have commanded, So let everything come to pass. For me the holy cross, and for my enemies my nail. In the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Now, always, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

If you suspect a love charm has been cast on you

At three o’clock in the night, take water from someone else’s well (with the owner’s permission is fine too), sit down on the porch facing the bucket, and wash yourself with your left fist straight from the bucket (wet your fist in the water and run it over your face) three times in a row, saying these words:

Through fists they part, with fists they do wrong, With the left fist free me from any love. Free me, God, from love, From longing for God’s servant (name). Drip, water, from my fist Onto the heavy charms. As water does not cling to the fist, So do I, God’s servant (name), Free myself from God’s servant (name). Heart of mine, do not sorrow; head of mine, do not grieve. In the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Now, always, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
